NEW DATE!
Have you ever looked at a book most people read in high school and thought “I should read that [again] now that I’m an adult”? If so, this is for you! Together with the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum, we will revisit books we read (or should have read) in high school. Discuss the main themes with special community guests each month.
Limited copies of The Handmaid's Tale are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Grayslake Library. Note: Event will be held at the Grayslake Heritage Center-164 Hawley Street, Grayslake. WALK-INS WELCOME!
Read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood and join us for a lively discussion with Professor of Women's Literature, Cathy Colton, of the College of Lake County.
Cathy Colton is a member of the English faculty at the College of Lake County, where she teaches composition and Women in Literature. She lives in Waukegan with her family. The Handmaid's Tale is a favorite book that she has taught many times over the years, and—since it premiered—the Hulu show is one she loves discussing with others.
DROP-INS are welcome!
