Program Description

Event Details

Join us on this thrilling adventure where we hunt down the elusive art of cursive writing! Who knew that connecting letters could be so mysterious? Forget treasure maps; we'll be navigating the wilds of loops and swirls! As we uncover the secrets of the alphabet, you’ll discover how cursive can help train your brain and improve your spelling. This skill also allows you to decipher historical documents, like the Declaration of Independence, which were penned hundreds of years ago with ink and quill. While you may not get to use a quill, you’ll definitely feel quite fancy afterward!

Why Cursive?

Cursive writing is more than just a form of penmanship; it is an essential skill that promotes cognitive development, motor skills, and literacy. Unlike the disconnected taps of a keyboard, the smooth, flowing motion used to create cursive letters stimulates brain connections and enhances the synchronization between hands and eyes. Research indicates that cursive writing engages areas of the brain involved in thinking, language, and working memory.
