Event Details
Drop off your clean, gently used Halloween costumes (complete outfits only - no partial costumes) beginning September 1 -September 30 at the Youth Services desk. You will receive a ticket for each costume donated. Bring your ticket(s) with you to the swap on October 7 and pick up your child’s next costume!
Frequently Asked Questions
Are we accepting adult costumes and other Halloween accessories (masks, face paint, hats, etc)?
No, we are only accepting complete children’s costumes—no extra loose accessories.
If I have more children than costumes donated, can I still get costumes for my other children at the
swap?
You will only be allowed to swap one ticket for one costume during the swap from 10 am – 11 am, but
you can return from 11am -12pm to select costumes without a ticket.
How will the swap work?
Ticket holders will be allowed into the swap on a first-come, first-serve basis on October 7 from 10
am – 11 am. If busy, we will distribute a number per family and will call a few numbers at a time to allow
them into the swap. From 11-12 pm, the swap will be open for non-ticket holders to shop.
Can we try on costumes at the event?
Yes, but please wear something you can easily slip a costume over. There will not be changing rooms
available and you will not be allowed to remove a costume from the room without turning in your ticket.
If we swap for a costume but decide we don’t want it, can we return it and swap for another?
We encourage patrons to feel very secure about the costume they’ve chosen when leaving the swap.
However, we will allow second swaps during the final 12-1 pm hour if they decide they don’t want the
costume they chose.
