Why Did Dinosaurs Go Extinct?
Scientists think that dinosaurs went extinct mainly because a huge asteroid hit the Earth about 66 million years ago. This impact made a big hole in Mexico and threw lots of dust and debris into the sky, blocking out the sun and causing the planet to get really cold, almost like a "winter" that lasted a long time. Also, there were volcanic eruptions and changes in sea levels that might have made the situation worse by affecting the climate even more.
