Program Description

Event Details

Join us for an event focused on pie and conservation! Inspired by legendary conservationists like Johnny Appleseed (who knew how to have a-peeling conversations), you'll learn how to protect our environment, and the vital roles trees and plants play in our world. And just when you thought it couldn't get any sweeter, you'll be baking your very own apple pie using local ingredients. Who knew saving the planet could be so delicious? Get ready to roll up your sleeves, or at least your pie dough, and let's make conservation a piece of cake—or pie, rather!

What is Conservation?

Conservation is the protection of things found in nature. It requires the sensible use of all of Earth’s natural resources: water, soil, minerals, wildlife, and forests. People who care about conservation try to preserve natural resources so they will still be around in the future. They also try to keep the environment clean and healthy.
