Equipment
This laser cutter is able to cut (vector) and engrave (raster) on a variety of approved materials, including solid woods, cork, cardboard, and certain acrylics and glass with high precision and speed. Etched glass designs, signs, wood engravings, and coasters are just a few of the items that can be made. The versatility of the Epilog Mini enables makers, hobbyists, and entrepreneurs to create diverse products.
Designs with images, shapes, and/or text can be created in a graphics software program such as Inkscape (free and open-source), Adobe Illustrator, or CorelDRAW and saved to a thumb drive or imported from a file.
The laser cutter is free to use. You may bring in your own materials (subject to approval by a library staff member) or a variety of materials may be purchased in The Hub at the time of use.
